Believe it or not, autumn officially starts this week. What better way to celebrate falling temperatures and one season closer to the holidays than by hitting one of the myriads of awesome events in The Woodlands. Here’s a list of our top five for you to enjoy.
Tuesday, September 19
Are you a budding musician? Storytelling wannabe? A burgeoning standup comic? Then Dosey Doe’s Breakfast, BBQ, & Whiskey Bar is just for you tonight! Their Open Mic Night runs from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. for musicians and performers of all types. Performance time slots last 15 minutes, and time slots are on a first come first serve basis. All you need to bring is your instrument and you can plug in. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Come join The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for coffee and fellowship as they partner with HeBrews Coffeehouse Woodlands to host their next Coffee with a Cop. Join deputies from Sheriff Henderson’s MCSO and discuss local matters, build relationships, and drink coffee from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Sheriff’s Office.

To commemorate the occasion, they are holding their annual Luncheon & Celebration of a Permanent Home. The luncheon keynote speaker is Margaret Hoelzer, a double Olympian and three-time Olympic Medalist in Swimming, as well as a World Record holder. It’s more than just a building … it’s a gateway. Join them on the journey to end childhood trauma and abuse. They know the way, and they have the solution – for justice, healing, and hope. Did you know that Montgomery County has its own one-day Renaissance Faire right here in The Woodlands? Enjoy a day out with family and friends at Rob Fleming Park today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and take a stroll back to Renaissance times! Arts in the park presents The Woodlands Renaissance Faire, featuring live musical performances by local artists and The Woodlands Symphony Orchestra players. Other activities include children’s arts and crafts, face painting, local vendors, strolling entertainment, Renaissance themed youth and adult costume contests and much more!
