MCTX Sheriff Makes Arrest for Theft of Metal in New Caney

NEW CANEY, TX -- On July 16, 2024, at about 9:00 a.m., Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 3 East Patrol Division responded to a Suspicious person call at an abandoned home near the 18000 block of FM 1485. Upon arrival, Deputies observed large spools of wire and other electrical equipment belonging to Entergy inside the residence. Entergy was contacted and confirmed that the items had been stolen from their trucks overnight.

With the assistance of a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, Deputies were able to search the abandoned residence and locate Roger Dale Parker Jr. (48). Parker was placed under arrest for multiple charges including, Burglary of a Habitation, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft of Metal.
