New Evidence Leads to Release of Previously Arrested Individual

SPRING, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announces the release of Mark Anthony Crooms, who was previously arrested in connection with the murder of John Dennis Holmes III. As the investigation progressed, new evidence emerged providing an alibi for Mr. Crooms, necessitating his release from the Montgomery County Jail.

Initially, an arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Crooms based on probable cause established during the early stages of the investigation.
