MCTX Sheriff Arrests Two for Felony Theft, Tampering, and Resisting in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On September 25, 2024, at around 8:30 p.m., deputies from the District 6 Patrol Division were dispatched to Dick's Sporting Goods at the Woodlands Mall. Store employees reported the theft of multiple high-value items and provided a description of the vehicle the suspects were seen fleeing in. A deputy from the Crime Reduction Unit, who was patrolling the area, spotted a vehicle matching the description and stopped it. Upon investigation, the suspects in the vehicle matched those from the theft, and deputies located the stolen items in the vehicle.

Justin Kelly Grisby, 41, of Houston, Texas, was arrested and charged with Theft over $2,500 (Felony), Tampering with Evidence, and Resisting Arrest. Grisby also has a parole warrant out of Harris County and a lengthy criminal history. Alexus Michelle Porter, 28, of Houston, Texas, was also arrested and charged with Felony Theft.

Criminals traveling from Houston to Montgomery County should be aware we have zero tolerance for this behavior. You will be arrested and charged.
