Body of Missing Splendora Man Found

SPLENDORA, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office sadly confirms that the body of Gayland Freeman, who was reported missing earlier this week, has been located.

Mr. Freeman was last seen leaving his residence on Southland Drive in Splendora on foot. A large-scale search coordinated with Texas Equusearch was scheduled for Saturday, but friends of the missing person discovered a body in a wooded lot near Mr. Freeman's home this afternoon. Detectives responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. At this time, no foul play is suspected.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office extends its deepest condolences to the Freeman family and friends during this difficult time. The family has requested privacy as they grieve their loss.
