THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On January 4, 2025, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 1500 block of Lake Woodlands Drive in reference to a theft in progress at Best Buy. As the Deputies were en route to the scene, they were informed that the suspects had fled in a U-haul truck just moments before their arrival. Deputies with the Woodlands Township Patrol were able to quickly locate the U-haul, which led to a pursuit when the vehicle failed to stop. After nearly an hour long chase, the U-haul stopped in Harris County, where the driver abandoned the vehicle and continued to flee Deputies on foot. He was quickly apprehended.

In addition to the driver, three passengers were also detained. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed multiple stolen items and narcotics. The two individuals pictured above were arrested on several charges, including evading, possession of controlled substance, outstanding warrants and theft. They are currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail. This investigation continues and further charges may be pending on additional suspects.

This incident underscores the exceptional dedication of our officers. Let it also serve as a strong reminder to anyone considering criminal activity in Montgomery County: such actions will not be tolerated and will be met with a swift and resolute response from our Deputies.
