Human Remains Found in Burned Vehicle in Conroe; Investigation Underway

CONROE, TX -- On January 13, 2025, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of possible human remains discovered in a burned vehicle in an overgrown field located in the 9800 block of Forest Lane, Conroe, Texas.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and conducted their investigation. The remains will be sent for DNA testing, but a positive identification cannot be made at this time.

The circumstances and manner of death are still under investigation, however, no foul play is currently suspected.
