Sing along to all your favorite holiday songs with The Woodlands Symphony, featuring a special Messiah sing-a-long, tunes from The Sound of Music, and classic carols! Under the direction of Maestro Bayer, the orchestra will perform such holiday favorites as “Feliz Navidad,” selections from “The Sound of Music,” and Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.” The program includes songs that everyone treasures, as well as a special selection just for kids. One lucky audience member will have the opportunity to conduct the orchestra for Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride”. And—as is WSO tradition—the orchestra will perform a special narrated rendition of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Talented female vocalist Vanessa Hunter will rejoin the orchestra for an encore appearance after her hit debut at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in September.
