THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide nonprofit dedicated to environmental and community improvement, has once again recognized The Woodlands Township as a Gold Star Affiliate. This marks the fourth consecutive year The Woodlands Township has earned this prestigious distinction, highlighting its ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Gold Star status is the highest recognition an affiliate can achieve, awarded only to communities that demonstrate exceptional efforts in keeping their environment clean, green and beautiful. To qualify, affiliates must showcase their dedication through impactful programs, volunteer engagement and environmental education. Additionally, they must provide details on their mission, economic development initiatives, diversity and inclusion practices, or participate in KTB’s Beautify Texas Awards or Governor’s Community Achievement Awards programs. A letter of support from the local community is also required.

Gold Star Affiliates are leaders in their communities, inspiring change, engaging volunteers, and implementing projects that make a lasting impact. The Woodlands Township is honored with Gold Star status for their outstanding efforts.
